About
Welcome!
My name is Olivia Golden.
I am an illustrator based in Cork city, Ireland. I am a longstanding member of Illustrators Ireland and AOI. If I’m not in my studio dreaming up another world I will be investigating a shoreline, forest floor or making something involving a hammer and saw.
Illustration is one very important tool in the art of story-telling. I am here to help you tell your story. Projects that motivate me involve the environment (especially trees and birds), folklore, poetry and portraiture. I love working in traditional media and translating that grit and flair into digital formats for commercial projects. My work is dominated by book illustration, mural art, portraiture and facilitating workshops for schools, libraries and workplaces.
WORKSHOPS: Children’s books is an area rich with possibilities. As part of that experience I offer WORKSHOPS to schools, libraries or any organisation interested in children’s literature, art, illustration and creativity.
A healthy curious streak combined with over 20 years in the industry has allowed me to complete projects for a wide range of national and international clients in publishing, advertising, branding and PR.
CLIENTS: These include Little Island Books, Cois Life Teoranta, Clo Mhaigh Eo, An Gum, Gill & McMillan, Diageo, GSK, Kraft Foods, Sony, Munster Rugby, Barrys Tea, Dublin Chamber, Ulster Bank, SIVUH, HSA, HSE and Deep RiverRock to name a few.
EXHIBITIONS: I have also been honoured to exhibit in some quality venues over the years. These include IMMA, Visual-Carlow, Garter Lane-Waterford, Luan-Athlone, Stormont Buildings-Belfast, Galway Arts Centre, Eu Parliament Building, and Bratislava Biennial.
I am always keen for a new challenge.
I look forward to having a chat about your next project!
